MONO CITY ROADS AND BENTON CROSSING ROAD (PHASE 1)

 ROAD MAINTENANCE PROJECT

Notice is hereby given that the Mono County (“County”) Department of Public Works calls for bids from qualified general engineering and asphalt paving contractors for the MONO CITY ROADS AND BENTON CROSSING ROAD (PHASE 1) ROAD MAINTENANCE PROJECT (“Project”). The purpose of the Project is to preserve, protect and maintain existing asphalt concrete roads in Mono County.  This project will slurry seal all roads in the community of Mono City including East Mono Lake Drive, Silver Lake Way, Peeler Lake Dr., Blue Lake Way, Twin Lakes Dr., Green Lakes Ct., and Lake Helen Ct.  Approximately 5 miles of Benton Crossing Road will be chip sealed starting at the junction with Highway 395.  A bid alternate is provided to extend the chip seal application on Benton Crossing Road approximately 2 miles.  Additionally, existing road signs in Mono City will be upgraded to steel sign posts, and existing paint striping, paint markings, and road signs on Benton Crossing Road will be restored.

Together, these two downloads comprise the complete Project Manual for the Mono City Roads and Benton Crossing Road (Phase 1) Road Maintenance Project.  The Project Manual download contains the Invitation to Bid, Instructions for Bidders, Proposal Forms, Sample Standard Contract with Exhibits, Technical Specifications, and Mono County’s Construction Quality Assurance Program (QAP).  Project plans include sheets T1, T2, A1-A10, and B1-B11.

To be considered, bids must be received by the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors no later than 3:00 pm Wednesday July 31, 2019.
