Notice is hereby given that the Mono County (“County”) Department of Public Works calls for bids from qualified General Engineering contractors for the “MONO COUNTY BENTON CROSSING LANDFILL FINAL COVER” project (“Project”). The purpose of this Project is to place final cover including but not limited to 2 feet of vegetative soil cover, a geomembrane, a geocomposite, a drainage control system, and landfill gas control system . The project is located in Mono County on Pit Road, north of Benton Crossing Road.
Contractors and Subcontractors must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations. This Project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations.
The Project Manual provides the requirements for the Project.

Each bid shall be made on the proposal forms contained in the Project Manual and must be accompanied by bid security in the amount of not less than 10 percent (10%) of the total bid.
All work must be completed within 50 working days from the date of issuance of the Notice to Proceed.
No prebid meeting is scheduled. Bidders should visit the site prior to bidding. Portions of the site are open and publicly-accessible. The actual landfill areas are fenced and not publicly-accessible. Bidders should contact the County if they would like to visit these closed sections of the site.
Bids may be mailed to the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors, P.O. Box 237, Bridgeport, California, 93517, or delivered to the office of the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors, 74 North School Street, Bridgeport, California. In either event, to be considered, bids must be received by the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors no later than Bid Submission Deadline stated on the cover sheet.
After the Bid deadline the Clerk Recorder’s PO box will be checked. As soon thereafter as is practicable, all bids received by the Deadline will publicly opened, read aloud, and tabulated. Depending on attendance, the opening will be either in the Annex I Lobby, in front of the Clerk Recorder’s office, or taken to the Public Works Department Conference room on the second floor. All interested parties are invited to attend.
