INVITATION FOR BIDS

ASPEN SPRINGS RANCH ROAD REHABILITATION PROJECT

Project No. 9326

Notice is hereby given that the Mono County (“County”) Department of Public Works calls for bids from qualified general engineering contractors for Mono County’s ASPEN SPRINGS RANCH ROAD REHABILITATION PROJECT (“Project”). The Project is state funded with Senate Bill 1 (SB 1) funds. The Project will rehabilitate the Aspen Springs Ranch Road asphalt concrete pavement from the road’s westerly to easterly intersections with Crowley Lake Drive--approximately 0.7 miles--with a 9” Full Depth Reclamation (FDR) and a new 3” hot mix asphalt surface course. Other Project improvements include shoulder backing, grading approximately 650 feet of roadside swale, installing approximately 400 feet of French drain, grading a small retention basin and re-setting survey monuments disturbed by construction.

Qualification requirements, contractor selection criteria, scope of work, and additional project descriptions are outlined in the bid documents available for download.  All interested parties should download the Aspen Springs Ranch Road Rehabilitation Project Manual and the Aspen Springs Ranch Road Rehabilitation Project Plan Set.  Together, these downloads comprise the complete Project Manual for the Aspen Springs Ranch Road Rehabilitation Project. The Project Manual download contains the Invitation to Bid, Instructions for Bidders, Proposal Forms, Sample Standard Contract with Exhibits, Technical Specifications, and Mono County’s Construction Quality Assurance Program (QAP).  The plan set is available for download in size 11"x17" (half scale) and 22"x34".

Bids may be mailed to the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors, P.O. Box 237, Bridgeport, California, 93517 or delivered to the office of the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors, 74 North School Street, Bridgeport, California. In either event, to be considered, bids must be received by the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors no later than 3:00 pm Thursday June 12, 2025 (“Bid Submission Deadline”).  Bidders are advised that due to the remote nature of central Mono County, “overnight” delivery by the US Postal Service, UPS, FedEx, and other carriers is actually scheduled as a two-day delivery.
