2018 Mono County Fog Seal and Striping Project

Notice is hereby given that the Mono County (“County”) Department of Public Works calls for bids from qualified General Engineering, Paving, and Striping contractors for the 2018 MONO COUNTY FOG SEAL AND STRIPING PROJECT (“Project”). The purpose of this Project is to preserve existing asphalt surfaces by the application of fog seal and paint striping at existing County street locations in Bridgeport, Lee Vining, Chalfant, Paradise, and Crowley Lake Drive.  The project also includes Bryant Field Airport (Bridgeport, CA) and Lee Vining Airport.  Additional bid alternates include Swall Meadows Streets, June Lake Streets, Owens Gorge Road, Lundy Lake Road, Lower Rock Creek Road (from Swall Meadows Road, south, to the Mono County line), and the Rimrock Zone of Benefit Streets (Swall Meadows, California).  The Rimrock Zone of Benefit region includes Sierra Wave, Ridgeview, and Cougar Run.

Qualification requirements, Contractor selection criteria, scope of work, and additional project descriptions are outlined in the Bid Documents available for download.  The Engineer's Cost Estimate for this project, including all Bid Alternates, is approximately $650,000.

The Project Manual download contains the Invitation for Bids, Instructions for Bidders, Proposal Forms, Sample Standard Contract with Exhibits, Technical Specifications, and the Construction Quality Assurance Program.  The Plan Set Part 1 through Plan Set Part 2 downloads comprise the complete project plan set, including Title Sheet (T1), Detail Sheets (DT1 and DT2), and project location plans A through M.
