As one of the largest environmental and resource management consulting firms in the United States, we offer not only great breadth and depth of resources, but the knowledge to apply and leverage that technical expertise. Our unparalleled senior leadership is experienced in managing large, controversial projects through complex regulatory environments.
Our local Bishop team, consists of regulatory and permitting specialists, archaeologists, biologists, ecologists and water quality experts offering a range environmental permitting and studies, including construction monitoring and NEPA/CEQA documents. Most of our staff have worked previously for federal and state resource agencies within the Eastern Sierra and are familiar with the local terrain, resources and regulatory environment.
Our offices in Reno and Tahoe specialize in ecological and recreational engineering including ecosystem restoration planning, technical, and strategic services. In the Lake Tahoe Basin, Cardno has helped to develop new guidelines for shoreline management; planned and implemented innovative water quality improvements for runoff; restored habitat on major Tahoe tributaries; designed formal and informal recreational trail networks including bike paths and other recreational access features; and provided technical input on fluvial and shoreline geomorphology to local, state, and federal agencies. Cardno currently holds a long-term contract with Heavenly Ski Area for storm water runoff sampling and ground water reporting.
